I mentioned a few days ago that I started a new job last week. For the past year, I've been able to telecommute from home, which was a great experience. I loved working from home, and it was a difficult decision to leave a job where I didn't have to commute, but I'm really enjoying my new job and am glad that I made the move. However, the new job requires that I commute to the other side of town. It's been quite a while since I've had to drive any longer than 10-15 minutes to work, so it's definitely been an adjustment driving in rush hour traffic again. To compound the issue, it seems as though the state has decided to do road work on every major roadway that I pass through on my way into work, so my commute either takes 30 minutes or an hour; there doesn't seem to be any in between.
