I've recently decided that I'd like to try out a multi-monitor setup to see if the productivity gains that I've read about are true. One interesting resource that I've come across is http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/. I've got to find a fairly cheap PCI video card before I'll be able to get it set up, but I'm looking forward to huge productivity gains :-). Scott Hanselman liked it so much, he went for three monitors.

Anyone else trying a multiple-monitor setup?

Been doing multiple monitors for a while. I find 2x17" monitors is far better than a hoarking big 21". I'm mostly running web browsers and terminal sessions into routers and firewalls, so having lots of real estate is important.

I'm currently running a 19" monitor and looking to add a 17" to go with it. I do a lot of research and constantly have multiple browser sessions open, so I could definitely use more real estate.

My laptop is a 15.4" widescreen 1680x1050, which is awesome for coding. At work, I have the laptop in a DView docking station, and a second 19" Dell flat panel. My laptop screen is my workspace, and the 19" is my view screen. Geek bliss.

I'm jealous, I guess I have to cross my eyes to get 2 displays ;> Well maybe one day I'll achieve display nirvana, its sounds awesome.

I'm running a 19" CRT and an 18" LCD - both have about the same real estate, however.

I've also got a 14" laptop nearby. :)
